So week one was AWESOME! The Red Zone, NFL Package and The Mix gave me a seizure headache, but it was worth it (lol). My fantasy team did well… Thank you Chris Johnson!  So lets get down to business…..

Thursday night kick off, Vikings and The Saints. Let me start with this Brett Farve IS A WACK ASS! Favre was held for 171 yards passing… Why you ask? Because he is WACK! Adrian Petterson had 87 yards rushing and no TDs.

Drew Brees complested 27 of 36 passes for 237 yards and 1 TD. Wasn’t an awesome game but the Saints got the first win of the season.

Panthers @ Giants New Medowlands and the Giants defense came ready to play, they forced 5 turnovers and gave me 15 fantasy point (on the damn bench). Eli Manning had 263 yards passing, his game wasn’t perfect at all. Some work still needs to be done on offense but I have to say they are looking ok.  My man the Queen City’s own Hakeem Nicks had 75 yards and 3 td’s, Thank you for the25.5 points Hakeem JYEAH!

Texans and Colts, what the world and who the hell is Arian Foster? Well if you didn’t know who is was Sunday you know who is ass is now. Kobie knows him, he has him on his fantasy team 41 fucking points are you serious? Mr. Arian Foster ran for a team recors of 231 yars and 3TDs.  The Schaub has 107 yards passing compared to Mannings 433, the most he has had in 4 years. Despite the game Manning had they still couldn’t clutch the win.

Well its finally September, time to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall, which means HELLO FOOTBALL. Preseason is over and the 53 man roster has been made, its time to dance baby.  New year new beginnings for some, last year was awesome but the slate is wiped clean and I am ready to see what this season will bring….Its time to pin this muffin top back blue!

I always have to start the end of preseason with my rants, so allow me a moment to vent…. SAY IT WIT YA CHEST TOIA! No names will be mentioned, I’m sure you can figure it out

Every year we go through this bullshit with you, your old ass needs to sit down and fucking retire already. Dude we are tired of you and you ain’t broke, tap the out and give someone else a chance old fucker.

Back in the day you could hold out but a lot of players didn’t because they felt the need to HONOR their contract. Well today HONOR goes out the fucking window and gets run over by a 18 wheeler.  Now don’t get me wrong I think a man should be paid what he is worth but all this back and fourth and cutting players for week 1 and then letting them come back so they can make sure there is enough money . After 36 days of holding out you get 46 million for 4 years, so one more year to your contract.   Your ass could of negotiated that shit while on the field with your team during pre-season,  get your monkey ass out there and play negroidian.

Now your touchy feely ass was going to miss 6 games and now only 4, but dude keep your hands to yourself. I can see if this was the first time you have been accused but it’s not so you’re just an ass. Keep ya hands to your damn self, leave the young girls alone, your now the old rich guy in the club. Which means dumb ass you’re a target for trifling ass women who want your money.  Sit ya ass down so you can play football fucker.

I’m tired of QBs crying and whining, its football suckers (my new way of cussing), if your good you play if not you don’t. Sisters sorry to be the one to let you know this but there are plenty of good black men in this world, and if your single, they are looking for you.  You just have to act right, and I know I’m going to get a lot of slack for saying that but for some of you it’s the truth.  So I won’t take up too much of your time just hit you up with a few points that might help you out.

So the problem my friend has is that he is a good brother, he has a great job ( I would love to do what he does) but it keeps him busy at times throughout the year and on the road a little bit. At times he is in the spot light and the man about town. This type of lifestyle is very attractive some women. At first they are all into him and then once they get deeper into the relationship the women get upset because he isn’t around all the time or they have a man on the side because he isn’t around all the time.

1. Sisters if you know what the man’s job is from the door and he puts all of his cards on the table, letting you know all that comes with it, why the fuck (my first F bomb JYEAH!)  would you get upset down the line? You knew who and what he was about from the get. Women constantly want a brother who is motivated, but when you find one it seems like it is not enough and that’s why some of ya’ll are still fucking single (I said some).

So as we got deeper into the conversation it was pointed out to me that popular women get upset with one guy because he sometimes takes the spot light from them and unpopular women, who become popular from being with him, start to act like they are too good to be with him any more

2.    STOP ACTING A FUCKING MONKEY ladies, geesh.

3.    Some women (not all) wouldn’t know a good brother if it kicked you in the ass. Time and time again I have said ladies put your cards on the table especially if your over 30 because neither one of you have time for games. Let a man know what it is you want up front, what you won’t stand for and what you can handle. Let a man know what baggage you come with and what baggage you will except from him. Shit even Steve Harvey wrote a book about it for you.  If a brother does it (let you know what he wants up front) don’t assume he is controlling or demanding, he is just being open and honest, they do that. A man who is not afraid to express himself and his emotions is a fucking keeper, not a bitch.

4.   I’ve said this before too sometimes you need to shut the fuck up and listen to what a man has to say. I know sometimes they talk a lot about nothing and all you hear is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh…wait…maybe that’s just me. Most men just want to let you understand what they want and where they are coming from.   Black men aren’t that complicated all they want is peace of mind and the comfort of a good woman who supports them in every way. It really is that simple ladies and sometimes give good head. Sorry…I couldn’t resist.

5.     Stop writing these fuck ass lists about what you want in a man. Half the time its unrealistic ideologies i.e. it’s BULLSHIT.  You probably will never know how many blessings you miss out on because your to busy looking at a list.

I was told, by a man mind you, that educated women are the worst. He said that they are too controlling and always want to run the relationship. Now I won’t lie and say I’m not controlling because I am but I’m going to tell you something I was told from a young age when dealing with men.

6.       LET A MAN BE A MAN. I know I talk about my inner dude all the time, it will always be there but when it comes to the man of the house, I let him be the man.  Why are we so scared of the word submission, if your religious or spiritual don’t you submit to your God. If you’re looking to get married or are married you submit to your spouse, it doesn’t mean you’re weak. What’s so wrong with being weak in front of your spouse? That’s the one person who should know that you’re not always as strong as you appear and vice versa.

7.     Sisters stop being so bitter about past relationships, you loved and you learned doesn’t mean you will never love again. Whatever happened in the past with another person, happened with THAT person. Get that clear in your mind that these are two different people. Don’t take your past hurt out on the next man. It’s not his fault. He shouldn’t have to pay for you not being able to move past your old relationship baggage. If you keep picking shitty men maybe you should take a time out, step back and look in the mirror cause there just might be something wrong with you.  I’m just saying when you point a finger at someone you have 3 pointing back at you.

8.      Don’t use your powers for evil, God don’t like ugly again that’s why SOME OF YALL are still single.  We lie better, we cheat better, and we know how to make a man feel guilty as hell when we don’t get our way. We hold all the cards a man can’t do anything you don’t want him to do if he is a respectful man. Use your power for good and you might be happier.

9.   This one if for the brothers a woman can find out all about you within the first 15 minutes of conversation with you, she knows if you ain’t shit or if your worth dealing with. Try and learn this and stop letting a big booty and smile throw you off. Pussy is a powerful thing but try not to let it rule you, that’s how your feelings can get hurt.

10. Sisters stop looking at these thug fools like there the strongest of the bunch that shit ain’t sexy at all. A man who works his ass off and wants to try and give you the world is sexy as hell. Once that thug Negro starts treating you like shit then you want to cry on a good brothers shoulders.

11. Brothers, I’ve said this before too, MAKE YOUR FEET HEAVY, that means stand your ground its ok to sometimes say no. Yes we might get upset, cuss and act a pretty monkey *Uncle Ruckus* but some women need to learn that they are old enough for their wants not to hurt them.

The best thing about being in a great relationship is the support you have for one another, the motivation you give one another to make a better life for both of you. The way you listen to one another and how you work together as a team is part of a great foundation for you to continue building a life together.  Love is complicated, it’s like cocaine… it’s a powerful drug. But if you find the right person that kind of addiction isn’t so bad.

Well I’m going to just start  cussing so excuse me while I vent.  How the hell does rain, not hail or snow, but rain move a satellite dish out of signal range, right after I pay my bill.  Then I called Direct TV and had to talk to the automated Piece of Shyt for 10 minutes, repeating myself over and over again like I had a pink bedazzled helmet on my head.  Then I finally get a live person and this heffa tells me we will get someone out there Tuesday to fix your problem.

Now one of my handlers was downstairs and my other one was 2 doors down at her house, so this gives me license to go off. D said all he heard was F bombs flying out my mouth and me saying bitch don’t you know its football Sunday, giving her my phone number and hanging up. I was pissed the hell off.  No TV on Football Sunday?! It’s like you shot me in my heart. Thank God for my laptop and Facebook for keeping me updated.  So I went to the sports bar to at least catch the Giants game later that night.

So fast forward to Tuesday and the Direct TV man came out and fixed the problem and added more cement to the post the satellite, so that it won’t move again. Shout out to Lamont the Direct TV man for fixing my TV. Good looking my dude. Thank you all for letting me vent for a minute about my TV problems too.

Now Lets Get It On!!

Well the Cowboys stadium had the largest crowd ever in NFL history. 105,121 people were in attendance Sunday night. Now if everyone in the crowd were a Cowboys fan they left mad as hell. Cowgirls danced in cages around big ass poles, big ass scoreboards, ex presidents in the booth and a loser ass team, haha haha.

I have to say this was an exciting game and I loved being in the bar with a bunch of Cowboy fans and me and my loud mouth with my Giants Jersey on…AWESOME!.  Mr. Tynes comes in the nick of time to kick a 37 yard FG to win the game.  Dallas had 4 turnovers against that Giants beast of a defense. I just want to say Plaxico who? Plaxico what? We don’t need no suck ass Plaxico we have Manning throwing to Manningham and I am loving it.  Manningham caught 10 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.  Steve Smith also caught 10 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown, fuck a bitch ass Plaxico.  The beast Brandon Jacobs had 58 yards. Justin Tuck injured his shoulder and was out the second half, but did that hurt the Giants defense hell to the naw.

Slowmo Romo was 13 of 29 for 127 yards giving 3 of these passes to the Giants, can you say shook. Marion Barber had a hell of a game and was hurt in the last quarter.  He ran for 124 yards and a touchdown, but it has to be frustrating as hell to play like that and lose.  Sucks to be you Marion sorry for ya, hahaha.  Giants upset the Cowgirls in their big fancy new stadium.

For 9 years the Jets of New York have lost to the Patriots of New England, but on September 19, 2009 at 1pm Tom Brady met THE SANCHEZ. Although the Sanchez struggled a little bit in the first half he came back in the second. It was all Mark all the time, fughetaboutit.  Tom Brady’s 21 consecutive wins was cut short. The only touchdown in the game was a 9 yard pass to Keller in the third quarter.  Although Tom Brady wasn’t sacked in this game Rex Ryan’s defense was all over him. Brady SUCKS yes I said it and I will say it again, I hate New England!!

Now can someone tell me how the hell you win a game with no touchdowns? These two suck ass teams come together to play one another and the winning team wins with a 3 FG’s? Are you fucking serious? So what this tells me if your kicker was as suck ass as the rest of your players you would have lost.  But at least the other suck ass team scored a touchdown but then these dumb asses decide that when they get a chance to score again and come up on the come up, they want to play hot potato and fumble the damn ball. Hold on to the ball fucker.  If you haven’t figured out what teams I am talking about it’s the Redskins and Rams.  How the hell in 60 minutes the Redskins have the ball for 35 minutes and 53 seconds you don’t score a fucking touchdown, not one.  You suck ass fuckers you won yes and I picked you to win but if you can’t dominate a bad team how the hell are you going to win games down the line.  I assumed when you got beat up on last week that you would come back fighting hard this week, y’all play like girls.  But then again this says something about the Rams defense, where there was no defense there now is. The Rams are a work in progress, they are improving, they didn’t score last week and this week they scored so kudos to the Rams. The Redskins aren’t a work in progress they just need work.  Win a game with 3 FGs from less than 28 yards away, my one leg having ass can kick 28 fucking yards. In the word of Ed Lover, C’mon Son! get the fuck out of here with that 3 FG bullshit, C’mon Son! Wack ass Redskins…

I just have a question are you the world champions? Did you win the Superbowl? Why the hell can’t your kicker kick a FG? Ok, that was more than one question but you know what I am talking about right? Why is your running game hot pissy garbage?  Defense, why do you have my boo boo Troy, on the sideline shaking his head like damn y’all some fuck ups yo? I understand it was raining but you mother fuckers are use to wind, your stadium is surrounded by 3 rivers and you play in snow all the time. No excuses! You made Cutler look like a champ, and they seem to be able to kick field goals.  You let a team with a coach named Lovie beat you.  Jay Cutler threw for 236 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions, he looked good after four picks last week.

So what does this say about the Steelers, work on the running game, kicking game and defense get tighter. One man doesn’t make a team it takes you all.  The Bears look good and if Cutler plays that way every week they might do something this year. Notice I said might…

Final score 17-14 and I took an L

So last week I took an L because the 49ers beat Arizona and this week I took an L because they beat  the Seahawks (which was supposed to be my sleeper team). 49ers are 2-0 so far. Umm…has Singletary put a fire under their ass or is it just luck? If Hassleback didn’t get hurt, would Seattle have come back and won?  Things didn’t start going down until Hassleback was hurt. We will never know now will we, but what we do know is Gore scored a 79 and 80 yard touchdown. Running that fat ass off looking like he needed the oxygen take once he got into the end zone. Push away from the steaks fats…but he did a good job. 49ers have a running game again and it looks good to me. All I have to say is I am now watching and we will see what happens.

Philly without McNabb and the Saints with Drew Brees, once again Brees had another good week.  He threw for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Colston had 8 catches for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns.  But I’m not getting excited about the Saints just yet.  Yes, Drew looks good but they played Detroit last week and the Philly team without McNabb, so to me thats two easy wins.  Now in week 4 they meet the Jets and we will see how good this Saints team is against Rex Ryan’s defense. Even next week might be a challenge with them going up against the Bills. I’m not saying the Saints aren’t good but I just need to see more than what I have seen so far.  McNabb is still out and now Westbrook is out with an ankle injury.  So we will see what happens next week.

Week 1 Round Up

Was week 1 everything you thought it would be, it was that and more for me.  Direct TV previewed the NFL ticket and Redzone, I have to say I now know why I don’t purchase it.  That’s just too much football at one time for me, you have to have ADD to watch all the games at one time.  Even the mix channel where you can watch all at one time, that gave me a seizure headache. The kid was not feeling it, but I did get to see the games.  So enough of the sweet talk lets get down to business. A lot of things happened Sunday and Monday and I have some things to say about it.

Let’s Get It on

Thursday opening night of the 2009 season, the Champion Pittsburgh Steelers took on the Tennessee Titans and just barely beat them in Overtime by 3.  I have to say this to the offensive line get it the fuck together yo. They are going to come up on a lot tougher defenses then Tennessee this season. Roethisberger went 33 of 43 for 363 yards. Santana Holmes made9 catches for 131 yards and a touch down. Now what I want to know is how the hell you ( a veteran)  just drop the ball, this is football not hot potato, that could of cost the game you a lucky man cause you was bout to get your ass kicked in the locker room, I’m just saying.  Steelers defense was just that -, steelers defense , but in the first half during a blocked field goal Troy Palamalu was injured tearing his MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) he will be out 3-6 weeks. Damn you Madden curse – I curse Madden!!

On the other side Mr. Kerry Collins was 22 of 35 for 244 yards. Steelers defense kept it some what tight. But like I said before offensive line and the running game needs to get better to get through this season.

Atlanta and Miami- Well the wild cat turned into a kitty cat Sunday in the ATL. Atlanta’s defense wasn’t having it, they came up with 4 turnovers and smacked down Miami’s offense.  Matt Ryan threw for 229 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Tony Gonzalez had 73 yards receiving and became the 21^st player in NFL history to surpass 11,000 yards. (way to go Tony).

What can I say about Miami, you need some work that’s what lol.

Final score 19-7 Atlanta and I took a W

Broncos and Bengals ok this was some lucky bullshit of a game if I ever saw one and this is one I had the pleasure to watch. I mean are you serious a deflected pass and Stokley catches it to run 87 yards, 87 freaking yards for a touchdown. Then he takes his time and still there’s no one around him, getting the clock down to 11 seconds in the 4^th. Which was actually a good idea (big ups to Stokley for that). RIDICULOUS! This game isn’t worth me even giving you stats.

Vikings and Browns, well Vikings fan are excited about the Favre and Peterson combination.  Well so am I, but for only one reason, FANTASY POINTS YO! Lol Peterson ran my point up, 3 touchdowns, 180 yards. Favre only threw 4 passes of six yards, but he doesn’t really need to pass now does he, when he can hand off to Peterson all day.  But what happens next week Vikings fans when you come up on a tougher defense, we shall see. For the Browns and Eric Mangini and all his bullshit this week, its going to be a tough season. Brady Quin went 21 of 35 for 205 yards, he had 1 interception and was sacked 5 times. Not good at all

Jets and Texans, well the Jets have THE SANCHEZ, the rookie came, he played and he conquered.  Sanchez threw for 272 yard and a touchdown. Thomas Jones rushed 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Texans struggled on offense against Rex Ryans defense (of the chain yo).  The Schauby struggled, struggled, struggled—did I say struggled, completing 18 of 33 and 166 yards with no touchdowns. Now I have to say Sanchez did a good job for a rookie, so for all my J.E.T.S. Jets , Jets, Jets, fans big up to the Sanchez and the Jets Defense.

Giants and Redskins, well Redskins fans — ha ha ha ha ha ha I love my Giants. Can you say OSI UMENYIORA  is back, healthy and doing his thang, not thing, but thang. Osi scored a 37 yard touchdown on a fumble return.  Eli struggled a little bit in the first half but got his swagger back in the 3^rd and 4^th quarters.  Manning completed 20 of 29 passes for 256 yards.  Giant have a beast of defense and a horse on offense Jacobs is a beast.

On the other side (which we really don’t care about) Jason Campell completed 19 of 26 passes for 211 yards without a touchdown.  This says Blah blah blah blah Redskins lost LMAO.

Ok so this last game I break down because I cant do them all you would be reading forever, will be combination of me venting and bitching up a storm, so you might want to excuse the kids.

Panthers and Eagle, now I try and represent the town I live in but, I’m not fool.  I know Panthers wouldn’t win but I thought they would at least play the game.  Jake the choke artist Delhomme completed 9 of 18 passes, 4 of them he gave to the Eagles. Finally after his 4^th interception they pull him from the game, but wait it gets better, the back up QB plays and gets hurt. So now these fuckers have a suck ass first QB and a hurt back up QB. Then your defense plays like a high school team because they are tired of being on the field so damn long. Your all star wide receiver gets upset and sits with the defense. This was a fucking circus with a bunch of clown ass players. Jake needs to go, let me say it again JAKE NEEDS TO GO, how the hell you get a new contract, I will tell you how you marry the coach’s daughter that’s how.  There is no need for me to talk about the Eagles you saw the score they played football. McNabb is out with a broken Rib so Vick is practicing this week and will be back week 3- good for you Vick.

Once again its my favorite time of a year as summer is coming to a close and the fall is rolling in. No more twoadays, its game time baby! Preseason is over and hopefully the interview went well and you showed us what you was working with. We have our 53 man roster, we have watched and dissected, hired and fired and this is it. Its time for the big show.

Disclaimer: This is not your regular football blog post, small children should leave the room. If this is your first time reading one of these, I will let you know now that I have no filter. I am working on it, God knows my heart and I am a work in progress.

I want to vent and be patient with me because a lot of things happened in at the end of the season, in the off season and in the preseason that I want to get off my chest.  First R.I.P. Steve McNair you will be missed, one of the greatest in the game taken before his time over some BS. I had to pay my respect. But lets talk about respect, those of you who know me know that I love and respect the game. I am that neighborhood chick that always played with the boy (hard to the body).  It baffles me that players abuse the gifts they are given, its a privilege to be able to play in the NFL. Why act a fuck ass fool? I am not going to say names I am just going to vent and I am so sure you will figure it out.

Why, because you can’t act right in the NFL, do you get invited to the UFL and still can’t even make it to the meeting before you acting a dumb ass on Ustream,? ATTN DA: Ustream can be seen by anyone!

Why are you choking out trashy reality show heffa’s before the season is about to start? Now how is your team suppose to react to this bullshit? Your momma should smack the shit out of you for acting like you don’t have the good sense God gave you.

How do you shoot yourself  and why are you packing a gun that’s not registered in the first place.? You make all that money are you telling me you didn’t have time to register a gun? Are you fucking serious?

Why are you drinking and driving, did you not know that it would be dangerous to you and others? ATTN DA: Again you make all that money. If you going to party and drink, hire a driver DA.

Who told you, you was that good that you can act the fool at practice and disrespect the coach and your teammates, your lucky they want to work with your stupid ass.

Why can’t you just sit your old ass down and retire already? Stop retiring and coming back. Tap out already. Only kickers should be old as hell in the NFL not QB’s.

Why you get another contract for 16 million dollars and your a fuck up and suck ass QB? You make me sick. We want to win and how in the hell all the QB’s on the team gonna to suck as well, for that matter? Thats some bullshit for real yo.

Real men don’t say CHILD PLEASE, KISS THE BABY or suck their thumb at team meetings, you are so suspect to me yo.

And the last thing I want to get off my chest is, it was dogs yo that’s not the reason he went to jail, he went to jail for having a gambling ring. Let it go he did his time, other mother fuckers are killing people and you blasting about some dogs, children are starving but you worried about dogs. As my boy Phonte said folks got a lot of other shit going on right now to be worrying about dogs. I am glad he is back and gets another chance to play!

I think I’m good now thank you for your patience and letting me get all that off my chest. Whewwww, that felt so good.

Now back to to business…

There are 11 new coaches in the NFL this year, more then we have seen in a long time.

Rex Ryan taking over for the Jets, I’m loving this move by the Jets because Rex Ryan don’t take no shit. He tells it like it is and his players respect him. He knows football and has already made a difference for this Jets squad

Todd Haley taking over at Kansas maybe he can light a fire under their asses and make moves.

Tom Cable is no longer Interim coach but now Head Coach for Oakland and they still suck ass.

Mike Singletary also starts his first full year as head coach for the 49ers, we will see how this works out.

Steve Spaguolo ( I spelled it right yea lol) leaving the Giants as defensive coordinator and making his way to St Louis. I think defense wise this was a good move Lord knows the Rams needs all the help they can get on defense.

Raheem Morris has players on his team older then him and yet he is still not the youngest coach in the NFL. This new direction for the Bucs looks good the team has made some changes and for now they seem to be working. But as always time will tell.

Jim Schwartz in Detroit, I don’t think he can really fuck it up more then its already fucked up. But look out for Detroit they made a lot of changes got some good picks and just maybe they might win some.

Eric Mangini leaving the Jets to go to the Browns, I really don’t have to much to say because I think Eric Mangini is an ass. But the Browns are one of my sleeper teams this season so I will be watching closely to see what goes down.

For the first time in 14 years you won’t see Mike Shanahan at Mile High, but Josh McDaniels is the youngest coach in the NFL now and the Broncos have a lot of work to put in, I am thinking they might struggle a little bit this season.

Jim Caldwell takes over for my man Tony Dungy as the Colts new Head Coach.  Seems the Colts have  a lot of new faces on the side lines with the lost of both coordinators and offensive line coach. Adjustments will be made and we will see how it all works out.

Last we have Jim Mora taking over at Seattle, another one of my sleeper teams this season. Seattle is healthier this year and I think Jim Mora was the best choice.

So new coaches, new coordinators and line coaches should make this season exciting. I think to make it to the playoffs this year you have to have the bomb ass team.  Every ones schedule is tight this season, not to many easy wins, teams will be putting in work.  So as always before week 1 I will ask the questions I want to see the answers to this season.

Is Adrian Peterson the best back in the NFL?

Will the Favre retire at the end of the season or will he work our nerves again?

Will Vick make a difference at Philly?

Will Chicago put in some work this season?

Can Brandon Marshall get his ass off his shoulders and just play?

Can T.O. stop crying long enough to make a difference in Buffalo?

Can Dallas move the scoreboard please? (lol)

Will Redskin and Dallas fans finally have something to really cheer about and stop talking out the side of their necks?

Is Matt Sanchez the answer for the Jets?

Can Detroit win more then one game or any for that matter?

Will the wildcat offense cause problems for defenses this year?

Will Mangini tell us who the starting QB is?

Last night while laying in the bed having normal couple talk, we came up with the idea that since we both have this strong passion for music, that we should try a blog writing experience and allow you the lucky readers to be privy to it.

So we decided to interview one another on the musical aspect of our relationship. Here is how it works, we asked each other a total of 8 questions, 1 personal question and 2 bonus questions. Which gives you a total of 12, because if our life was a TV show it would look like Monk. My husband love him to death but he has OCD big time. We purposely didn’t label the songs because we want you to get the same reaction to the question we got once it was asked and the song comes to mind. We hope you thoroughly enjoy this peek into our life and its musical reflection.

Question 1: What song do you associate with the first time I met you?

Toia: Because when you walked through the door your outfit said old school, fun and cool. The throw back beat and lyrics are totally what I think of when I met you. You came in by yourself, you kept to yourself most of the night, until I attacked you and you held your own. It was just you and I liked it.

Dewan: I remember walking into my friend’s house humming this cause it was the last thing I was listening to. As I walked in, our eyes connected just as my favorite line passed my lips “I realize what I portray / Day to day/ I gotta carry this / And beats, rhymes and life is where the marriage is.” I can’t say if I knew where our relationship would lead but at that point, I knew we would at least have some type of conversation before the end of the night.

Question 2: What song comes to mind when you think about our first phone conversation?

Toia: Because Biz is so crazy and silly and so are you. When you called me at my job saying your name was Dr. Phelmflockus (I worked in a Lab at the time), it threw me off at first, but when I realized it was you I just laughed. We talked for a just a few minutes but you made me smile and as we hung up I think that’s when I caught the vapors for you.

Dewan: I associate it with this song cause like a typical male, even though I have no clue where this could be leading to between us, in the back of my mind I can’t help but think you have to be feeling me too. Otherwise, I would have digits to call you at right? That’s what I’m thinking…”You must know what’s up or you must be thinking what I’m thinking and feeling what I’m feeling too.”

Personal Question for Dewan: What song do you equate with my smile?

Dewan: Ok…even though the words of the song may not completely match the question..for me it’s the horns at the end of this one that really have the meaning. When ever you smile at me or just in general, it’s like those horns are playing just for me.

Personal Question for Toia: What song best reflects how you feel when your upset with me?

Toia: When I’m upset and we fight, I don’t really want to hear you talk so Shut Up goes through my mind constantly. The NFL Theme song because at times I just want to tackle your short ass, get up, kick you and keep it moving. (Yes, I am very violent) You just make me that mad sometimes. Call Tyrone because sometimes I don’t always feel that you appreciate me. So I just want you to just get the hell out. But those moments are few and far in-between. You like the way I cleaned that up, don’t you.

Question 3: What song reminds you of when you first realized that you loved me?

Toia: It didn’t take long for me to realize that I loved you. I was very confused because it was a very sticky situation we had put ourselves into. But the first time I heard you sing this song to me, it made me feel so special. I knew it came from the heart and you had my heart then and there.
Aww…that’s so sweet! I can be sweet. LOL.

Dewan: It’s funny that we both picked this song but at the same time it shows our connection. I had the album and really thought that this song and it’s words really embodied what true love is. Every time I would hear it, I would think that I would really like to find someone that would make me feel this way. So when those feelings surfaced in our relationship there was just no way I could not relate them back to this song.

Question 4: What song should have been playing when we got married?

Toia: Because we didn’t have a wedding reception, I always  wonder about this question.  I picked Stars because its us, we did come a long way to be together and my heart belongs to you. I can just see us dancing and singing this to one another. I didn’t really need a fancy wedding, dancing in the kitchen with you is fine with me.

Dewan: How can I not want this played? The raw emotion behind KC-I and Mary’s voices convey it all. You can hear the young love all in the delivery of the voices. To me the duet sounds as ethereal as the moment you confess your love to the world during the wedding.

Question 5: During our 4 years stay in VA with the Military, what song reminded you of me when we were apart?

Toia: I don’t really think I need to explain this me just listen to the words. Every time I played the song it got me through the lonely nights. Knowing you did what you did for me and the girls was more then enough to get me through. But this song just summed it up for me.  There is no better love and you are my everything. Ok maybe that was a lil mushy, got to get back to my inner dude-  I’m so hood (ROFL)

Dewan: When you are in the military more then likely you have to be away from family and friends a lot. When I wrote this song I had been away for almost 6 months, and I wanted to express myself.  So I thought that a song would tell it better then a simple I love or I miss you. Al Green has always been one of my favorite performers because of the type of songs he creates about love. I wanted to capture that feeling just using my own words.

Question 6: First time we had sex, what song does that remind you of?

Toia: This song Slowly because I was so nervous and I never felt like that before. I was scared and excited at the same time. You were sweet and the perfect gentlemen. The fact that we were actually really good friends first and you made me wait ( lol yes he did, I was beyond ready) made it that much better. Thank you for that it was the first time I really got to know a man and not the representative he sent just to get into my pants. Also its a really sexy, erotic song and that’s what I remember about that night. You aiight with me

Dewan: It has to be this one, the wording is just perfect. The first time you have sex with someone you truly care for, it could be like this song. It can start off soft, quiet and sensuous, full of romance. But by the end all the emotion are laid bare to show the raw passion. The way this song builds up to the finale is the epitome of the first time to me.

Question 7: What song(s) remind you of me being the first person you see every morning?

Toia: Cool, because when your damn phone goes off in the morning and I hit you to turn it off, you get up and turn it off and then you turn around and watch me roll over into your spot. You look at me and laugh and say ” Good morning bay” and I know its all right. That it doesn’t matter that we don’t have a lot of money or go out all the time, its cool. Its the little things you do that make me happy, we have more then enough. Chaz because I just love the fact that finally after being apart for four years I can open my eyes and your right there. Although you keep me most nights with your snoring and kicking me to death, we get to lay together every night and that’s so much better then you not being here at all. Awww I might cry- man up Toia – OK I’m back lol

Dewan: There are in our relationship the same things in every other one. Good times and bad ones, ups and downs, etc. So I think that these songs reflect on how I feel on any given morning when I open my eyes. Van Hunt captures the happiness with his melody about someones love and how it can make you feel high. On the other hand we might of had a disagreement or difference of opinion and that’s where Musiq’s songs comes to mind to let me know to try and be more understanding and tolerant.

Question 8: Given our current situation and the trials we have been through, what song makes you reflect on our battle with Cancer?

Toia: Choklate’s Thank U, because your always there encouraging me and letting me be me. I am so much to deal with (yes I said it) but you have so much patience and you know how to handle me. Plus I’m just always thanking God for allowing me to have a man like you in my life. Anita Bakers because she is my favorite and you are truly an angel. I see the fear in your eyes when I’m having a moment, if I can’t remember something or when I am in so much pain I can’t move. But you keep it moving and always keep me motivated. The last song House of love, because we have been through so much as a couple, so much that most couples now a days would of been divorced. From being apart 4 years, because of the military to cancer. Our house is truly filled with love and laughter, we built this together. Its amazing to me that you could love me the way you do. I am so blessed you’ve given me so much and I can’t thank you enough. I am excited about our future together because I know if we get past this hump there’s nothing we can’t do together.

Dewan: The songs I thought of are so self-explanatory that I almost don’t have anything to say here. When someone you care for is not well and it’s something as serious as cancer, those are times when certain songs can soothe your soul, heal you’re hurt and give you peace. Each song I chose reflects my feelings about you and my optimism about the situation.

Bonus Question 1: What song best sums up who I am as a person?

Toia: I picked three songs. Little Brother cause you have a swagger about you that you don’t even realize. You are a man’s man, a true gentleman and when you walk in a room that song pops in my head. Umi Says because your Great Grandmother raised you right. You are intelligent confident outgoing when you want to be. You have strong spiritual beliefs and strong political convictions. So why not a Mos Def song to reflect that? Common’s I Used To Love H.E.R.  because Hip-Hop is your passion and your life is just like this song. It spoke to you the first time you heard it and it still moves you today.

Dewan: I chose Sunshine because the melody is upbeat but sassy and it reflects how you are most of the time. Plus the words explain what I think goes through your mind when you look at me sometimes. Trina Broussard’s song reminds me of the carefree way you look at the world. It’s something you have that I envy. The jazzy smooth melody always makes me think of when you tell me I’m being uptight about something I should be more relaxed with. Or when you tell me I should trust more, be more giving and have faith. The last song will make sense to those that know you personally. They will LOL when they hear it because it mos def explains your wild side. The side that is funny, crazy, silly but loving all at the same time.

Bonus Question 2: What do you think my theme song would be?

Last night my husband, a friend (male) and I were chillin’ and my friend’s phone rang. When he heard the ring tone he sucked his teeth and answered it anyway. He talked for a minute and before he hung up he said to the person on the other end “Ok Baby”.

Now we have talked before about keywords that women use to get their man’s attention. Well as a woman, I too have key words that make me pay attention and when I hear someone call someone else Baby my ears lift up. Even if they aren’t talking to me. LoL. That’s a trigger word for me to be the nosey Aries I am.

So I asked: “Who was that?”
And he replied: “Someone I REALLY am trying to get rid of”…

My mind was just racing but I finally said: “You’re not going to get rid of her by calling her baby or by answering the phone every time she calls.”

He looked at me but didn’t make a comment.

So, today’s lesson is for my men, they are near and dear to my heart, but at times clueless as hell. My friend, who called the girl baby, has this thing about him; he calls all women “Baby Girl” or “Boo-Boo”.
Most men are guilty of committing this mistake. Even my husband, bless his heart calls certain women either “Dear” or “Sis”. Sis isn’t bad but “Dear” could get you in trouble, if said to the wrong woman.

Here is the reason why brothers.

Women only use terms of endearment towards men who really matter. So in their minds (and I’m not talking about all women, so ladies calm down) if you use one towards her, she begins to think she must mean something special to you. It’s the perfect way to get a woman’s attention but it’s also the perfect way to not be able to get rid of her too.

Now, we all know I am not the average chick. I call most men I meet or know sweetheart, because I don’t always remember their names. I also know that this is the reason most men call women either Baby, Baby Girl, etc. Yes, your secret is now out LoL. Only the closest man to me, meaning the one who has my heart, gets the privilege of being called Baby.

It’s funny how such small words can mean such big things. So fellas, please choose your words with caution, so you don’t invite unnecessary guests into your life. If you want to get them out of your life you must stop using these Terms of Endearment.

Let’s talk about that for a minute too, how to get an unwanted woman out of your life.

Here is the problem I have, most of the time if you tell a woman you don’t want her or you don’t like her in that way anymore or you never did, nine times out of ten, a real woman will walk away. Well, that’s true for a woman who isn’t a crazy stalker bitch. Men, I understand that you don’t want to hurt her feelings and you want to let her down gently but….yeah, I can’t even sugar coat this one…That’s a Bitch Move! Man up and let your long balls hang low. Because you’re wasting that sister’s time, she could have been off with the next man. Women always have a backup plan (well the smart ones any way).

Stop answering her calls. I know if I call more than twice and you don’t answer my call you’re no longer in my top 20 but that’s just me.
Stop having sex with her; let me say that again in my momma voice, STOP HAVING SEX WITH HER! Sex is only an invitation for her to stay in your life. Ok, so she has good pussy and gives amazing head and you want to be able to hit that every so often. If you know what I know, you better tap out or you’re going be dealing with her for a long ass time. Especially if you’re hitting her off something good, she ain’t going anywhere.
A lot of women don’t know how to separate sex from emotions, so every time you have sex with her, you’re opening up a door for her to fall deeper and deeper in love with you. Stop it!!

If you just want a jump off tell her that and maybe if she is a sensible sister like me, arrangements might be made to make you both happy. But with that, rules need to be set as well because one slip up can put you back in the boyfriend or “boo” category.

Don’t go out on dates, I know sometimes you want to just be able to hang out with a lady. But if it’s not a chick you’re thinking about making your main lady, then don’t date her. Dates are the worst thing you can do with a woman you’re really not feeling. It’s another invitation, because in her mind you are showing her that you like her enough to take her out in public. So, once again, she is thinking she must really mean something to you.

And the last thing but the most important, never ever, ever, ever introduce her to your boys. That’s one of the worst moves you can make. Women only introduce you to their friends if they plan to keep you around for the long haul. Meeting the friends is a big deal to a woman it means she is on the come up, she has arrived and is now a part of your entire world. Don’t do it fellas. You will regret it.

So brothers what did we learn today?

1. Use caution with your words.
2. Stop having sex with women you really don’t like.
3. If you only want her as a jump off, make your feet heavy and tell her that’s all it’s going to be.
4. If you don’t like someone, tell them and that will save you from the drama.
5. Never introduce her to your friends unless she is going to be around for a long time.
6. Don’t let pussy get you caught up with a crazy stalker bitch! i.e.: don’t let your dick get you into trouble your mouth can’t get you out of.

To my husband I hope this is to your liking. I don’t think I was too harsh with the words. I hope I did the men justice and I am so sure you will post your comment. LoL.

So I wanted to write this because I get a lot emails about topics I should write about and health has come up a lot. I know it’s been a minute since I’ve written anything, well that’s because of health issues.

Most of us are at age where our health sometimes is over looked. I can honestly say that before I was diagnosed with cancer I really didn’t pay too much attention to the signs of being sick. I would just keep moving, because that’s all I know.

I started having seizures at 21 and of course many different drugs later and not knowing why I have them, I just am use to having them. It’s become a part of my life I have a seizure and keep it moving. I know it sounds strange but I have gotten to the point where I can hold one off and know when one is coming. All other health issues weren’t really issues.

My husband and I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 still birth and every time was a different reason. So I had it set in my mind that it was just Gods way of saying it’s not your time yet. It never crossed my mind to look deeper into it because I had to keep moving. Weather its work, school or the kids we do have I am always on the go. You would think me working in the medical health field that I would be more on top of my health issues. No not me to busy trying to get through the day to day.

I’m telling my story because I would never wish this on my worst enemy.

In November of 2007 Dewan and I was on our way to work and anyone who knows me knows I never let Dewan drive but this day I had a headache so I let him drive. If you know Charlotte we got on 85 at the Brookshire and I blacked out, when I came to we were at WT Harris and he said lets go to emergency room. We got to the hospital my blood pressure was off the chart and my head felt like it was about to explode. The doctor gave me a MRI of the brain and found a spot on my brain he didn’t know what it was and told me to follow up with my doctor. I didn’t take it seriously, once again sounds crazy. I didn’t have time to take time off and go to the doctor and have it checked. I was fine for a few months or so and then the seizures started coming more often, which was my sign to get my butt to the doctor. To make a long story short I had a tumor that covered 3/4 of the surface of my brain which at this very moment is just about gone, but the cancer has also spread and I am dealing with that as well.

I have also learned the reason why I can’t or couldn’t have babies and if I never checked into it, it wouldn’t have been the cancer that killed me but the fact that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which has been undetected for so long I now have diabetes type II.

African American women are leading in so many different health conditions at this time, from Breast Cancer, Aids, Diabetes and Obesity. We are dieing off and where you think it’s our men it’s not. The main reason is we are too busy trying to run the world to stop for a minute and go to the doctor just for a checkup.

Although I am doing somewhat better just imagine if I had went to the doctor after that first MRI from the ER or if I had looked deeper into my problems after my first miscarriage. I could be done with all of these issues because of early detection.

We all know I am still hard headed as hell and sometimes I don’t listen to my body but I am on top of all issues I have and if another one pops up I’m on top of that as well. I have slowed down some I really don’t have a choice I’m not the same any more. It’s hard but God sometimes has to hit you in the face for you to see what’s right in front of you and he has basically knocked me on my ass.

I tell you all this so maybe you won’t make the same mistakes and so that you learn to take better care of yourselves. Listen to your bodies, eat healthier foods. I eat healthier as well, no more season salts or lemon pepper. I use fresh herbs and a little sea salt and pepper. Going organic is a little more expensive but my life is worth it. It took me to get to deaths table to know I am needed right now, I am love and I truly love myself. I love you and I hope you take my story as an example on how not to ignore the signs.

Live life, but don’t ignore the signs. We have done it all for so long sometimes we need to sit our ass down and let God take the head.
